Ange Crockett (Cricket)
Hi! I'm Cricket! I'm a 2D Animator and Illustrator based in Columbus Ohio. I love experimenting with color, creating unique characters and stories, and making them come to life.
My path to becoming an artist began in elementary school. Lectures bored me as a kid, so I started doodling just to do something with my hands while listening to the lecture. That urge to create transformed into a fire in my heart that burned for drawing and art. I was (and still am) largely inspired by the Nickelodeon TV show Avatar: The Last Airbender, anime, the beauty of nature, and human emotion. One of my favorite things to illustrate through my work is the beauty of emotion. I always struggled with expressing myself and my emotions through art, so I like to challenge myself in that area. I love seeing what kind of feeling I can evoke by experimenting with texture, color, and form.
I create content for anyone who loves the beauty of nature, emotion, and occasional silliness or cuteness. I want to work towards creating content for young people who are struggling with their mental health. I hope to one day have a platform to create content that will make a difference in someone else's life.
